Interview with Daria Varha (Marketing Lead)

Can you briefly explain your role within Verso Finance?

I am the Marketing Lead for Verso, and I am the person you will encounter in every heated discussion, as well as at the forefront of promotional and growth-targeted activities.

Don’t tell the other guys, but I think my job is the most satisfying since I get to engage with a unique, opinionated group of people daily and bring them the latest news about Verso Finance.

What is your background?

I was born in Ukraine and majored in Accounting and Auditing in one of the top economical universities. During my upbringing, I worked in the United Kingdom, Czech Republic, US & Ukraine. My home country is famous for being one of the biggest tech hubs in Europe, so I took full advantage of it in developing my scope of abilities. So no wonder I built most of my career in the Software Development industry and iGaming

And after joining Verso, I have moved to South Korea to reconnect with my ethnic heritage and dive deeper into the realm of finance and crypto.

What currently excites me the most is the idea of bringing the whole stack of embedded finance to any app, as well as the actual ability to make this world a better place…how incredible is that?

What got you interested in Blockchain in the first place?

Being a marketer for software development companies, regardless of how you build your career – one will encounter Blockchain in one way or another, and you will get hooked.

So when about 5 or 6 years ago, an initial wave of meme coins hit the market, I was amongst those who joined the party. Looking at my portfolio now, I feel like a very old-school HODLer of coins that are now a big part of crypto history. Some choices were odd, and some were right out brilliant, but I look at it as a great way to explore trends and connect with bright minds from all over the world and develop a curiosity for more serious projects like Solana and Cardano.

And generally speaking, I find it incredibly fun because you never know what next big thing will blow up the market…or do you? 😉

What has led you to the development of Verso Finance?

For me, the main selling point was the genuine belief of the team in what they were doing, and this idea was incredibly contagious. So after a few rounds of interviews, I was happy to join the team & help the project grow.

Besides, the overall desire to make this world a better place is a very noble cause, and every professional would like to have projects like this in their career at one point in life. So I feel fortunate and honored to be a part of such a cause-driven team.

What is the unique value proposition of Verso, and what excites you the most about this project?

The unique value proposition of Verso is that it will be a crucial enabler for cross-border embedded finance. Financial institutions can list their products on our marketplace; Wallet Providers can fetch these products and offer them to their users. Users for which financial products may not have been accessible previously.

The second thing that keeps my interest running is the Verso community. Striking people with bright minds and keen eyes for details. An absolute pleasure to spend a significant amount of time talking and engaging with everyone on our channels.

But above all, I’m excited that we can build a product that has the potential to impact people’s lives truly. And it is incredibly satisfying.

Many DeFi / blockchain projects have failed throughout the last few years. Why do you believe Verso is going to be successful?

This is a high-risk market, clearly, but we have a few things to help us achieve success.

Number one: general expertise of the entire team. I mean, if you read our previous interviews, there is a distinct attribute to everyone on the Verso team – expertise in regulated markets & finance in general. So when coming to regulated markets, we feel very much at home, even with the blockchain twist on top.

Number two: a mature & patient community from all over the world. Seeing numbers grow daily and reading all the supportive messages makes me optimistic that we are destined for success. Every community member is a valuable addition to the Verso universe and helps us build a brave new world of embedded finance.

Where do you see Verso a year from now? Why do you believe our community should be excited about the future of Verso?

I am not going to build any sky castles here. The crypto market is incredibly fast-paced and demanding from projects on it. And while some other projects can push updates very quickly, we are a bit different in this sense due to the nature of the project itself.

So please keep in mind that DeFi moves pretty fast, but CeFi does not, and we have to respect that.

But I am very optimistic that we will leave a meaningful impact on the industry with our vision and aim to bring finance to the unfinanced in the emerging markets.

From my experience, projects with human-in-mind are the ones that have the best chance of succeeding.

Anything else you would like to tell our community?

Thank you for being there for us, showing us continuous support through low and high. Without you, it would not have been possible to get where we are today. We are confident that we will change how microfinance products are distributed and bring them to the people in need with a strong community like ours!

Please stay tuned for more updates as we work on exciting new activities for our community in the upcoming quarters.
